lmj {originals} is owned and operated by me, Lisa Jaster, a professional photographer and digital artist. I always wanted to be a photographer, and after receiving my associate degree in professional photography, I went right to work. In addition to photographing thousands of portrait sessions, I spent 12 years managing one of the largest portrait studios in the Midwest. After so long working for someone else, I decided it was time to go out on my own.
I specialize in dealing with people; it takes talent, patience, and a quick trigger finger to capture the moments people will treasure. I need to be in the right place at the right time; the bride will only flash that smile in that dress once in her life and it needs to be captured perfectly the first time. Catching a high school senior at just the right moment, or getting the perfect shot of the family while grandpa looks on with a contented grin–those are the shots I live for.
Over the years, the relationships I’ve created with my clients are the things I value most. I am there with them at all their most important occasions, and I truly feel like they are my second family. I know many of them see me the same way. I love to watch their kids grow from tiny babies to teetering toddlers and up into adulthood while I document the whole process with my camera. I am so honored to be able to capture those moments of their lives. My only goal is to make you happy, no matter what it takes.
